Speaker

Our speaker is Deb Di Blasi, Author of A Place for Healing: Finding Calm, Hope, and Strength After a Breast Cancer Diagnosis.

Deb is a wife, mother, grandmother, and lifelong student of health and healing. In August of 2020, she was diagnosed with stage-three triple-negative breast cancer. Faced with decisions she never expected to make, Deb took an active role in researching her options and ultimately chose a path that was deeply personal to her.

That experience changed much more than her approach to health. It changed the way she thought about fear, hope, gratitude, language, and the importance of taking life one day at a time.

Today, Deb is doing well, and A Place for Healing grew from her desire to share what she learned along the way. Through her personal story, Deb takes readers from the shock and uncertainty of diagnosis through the choices, discoveries, and practices that became part of her own healing journey. She shares the resources she found helpful, the lessons she learned, and the shifts in perspective that helped her navigate some of her most difficult seasons.

The book also includes a 90-day guided healing journal, giving women a place to put some of those ideas into practice in their own lives through daily reflection, gratitude, intention, and encouragement.

Deb wrote A Place for Healing to be the kind of companion she wishes someone had placed in her hands when she was first diagnosed—a source of information, encouragement, hope, and connection for women navigating breast cancer and other difficult chapters of life.

Donations

This month is Cobb diaper month and we will be donating to Cobb Center For Family Resources. They provide job assistance, food diapers, sanitary items for those in need in Cobb County. Diapers and wipes are needed as well as larger size diapers.
